New Year's Eve Yacht Charter - Beneteau 40.7

Few places in the world are more impressive on New Year's Eve than Sydney Harbour. One of the very best ways to view this pyrotechnic spectacular is from the deck of your own private charter yacht. This is definitely a once-in-a-lifetime "must-do" event.

Description

Our yachts are berthed in a modern marina in a beautiful setting at Middle Harbour Yacht Club in Sydney.

Parking at the club is easy, and the shore-based facilities are great, too.

Our New Year's Eve package begins with a safety briefing. We explain the basic parts of the yacht as well as the use of winches, halyards and sheets.

Sydney Harbour cruise

Next, we head out into Middle Harbour for a relaxed sail down towards the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Opera House to take in the sights and choose the best spot to anchor for the show.

Subject to wind and weather conditions on the day, we usually anchor in Farm Cove or Athol Bay.

After dinner and a couple of sundowners, it's time for the 9 pm fireworks and aerobatics display.

Breathtaking fireworks display

As the New Year approaches, the tension builds and then, at the stroke of midnight, the skies above Sydney Harbour erupt from end to end in a truly breathtaking fireworks display.

After it's all over, we gently cruise back to our Middle Harbour Yacht Club base.

We usually disembark around 0230 am on New Year's Day.
