A typical day begins with a short safety briefing; we then explain the essential parts of the yacht as well as the use of winches, halyards and sheets.

Next, we head out into Middle Harbour for some gentle crew training before setting sail for Sydney Heads and a taste of the mighty Pacific Ocean.

You will learn how to hoist and trim the sails, sail across the wind, and helm the boat on different points of sail, tack, and gybe.

Relax as hard as you like

You can join in, get active and learn basic sailing skills or relax as hard as you like while our friendly, professional instructor shows you the ropes.

Lunch at anchor

Weather permitting, we usually enjoy lunch and maybe a bit of swimming or snorkelling at anchor in one of Sydney's magnificent coves.

Then, we hoist sail again and head to Shark Island to view the Harbour Bridge, the Opera House, and the essential photo shoot.

Waterside bar

We return to the Yacht Club in good time for a few light refreshments in the waterside bar.
