The Beneteau First 40.7 is a highly regarded, Bruce Farr-designed cruiser/racer sailing yacht, great for racing and comfortable for fast cruising. 

If you love sailing, you will love these beautifully balanced yachts. 

The layout of the 40.7 is very practical, with two double rear cabins, a forward cabin, a comfortable saloon, and an enclosed toilet and shower unit. 

The yacht sleeps six in comfort or eight using the saloon bunks.

Faq

  • How do I secure my booking?
    • To arrange your charter, use the enquiry button at the top of this page. Once your date and price are confirmed, a 20% deposit secures your booking. The balance is due 60 days prior. Deposits are non-refundable but transferable.
  • How many people can the yacht accommodate?
    • Licensed for up to 10 people. For the best comfort and experience, we recommend a maximum of 8 guests.
  • Yacht specification
    • The Beneteau 40.7 is a modern 40 ft performance cruising yacht, well suited to Sydney Harbour. She has a fractional sloop rig, 3.76 m beam, 2.4 m draft, and a displacement of 6.9 tonnes, powered by a Volvo 40 hp diesel engine.
    • On board are three double cabins, one bathroom, a fully equipped galley, large fridge, comfortable saloon seating for six, sound system, wheel steering, Raymarine navigation instruments, a three-reef mainsail, and a furling headsail.
  • Can I arrange my own itinerary?
    • Yes. Subject to weather, sea conditions, and operational constraints, our skipper can tailor the itinerary to suit the preferences and requirements of your group.
  • Can we bring food and drinks?
    • Yes. BYO food and drinks are welcome. Depending on the purpose of your charter (ie do you want to learn or just cruise) alcohol is permitted in moderation.
  • Is swimming allowed?
    • Swimming may be possible at suitable locations, subject to conditions and the skipper’s discretion.
  • What should we wear?
    • Comfortable clothing, flat non-marking shoes, sun protection, and a light jacket. Lifejackets are provided and may be required at the skipper’s discretion.
  • What safety equipment is carried?
    • The yacht is fitted with AMSA and RYA code-compliant safety equipment.
  • What happens if the weather is poor?
    • If conditions are unsuitable or unsafe, we will work with you to reschedule your charter or offer an alternative.
