AS/ISAF Offshore Safety and Sea Survival Revalidation

This is a re-validation course for those who have completed the full 2 day ISAF Offshore Safety and Sea Survival course but whose certificates have expired.

The course meets the requirements of the World Sailing (ISAF) Special Regulations, Appendix G, Part D - Guidelines for an Offshore Personal Survival Refresher Course.

There is a practical session in a pool, where you refresh your knowledge of how to launch a life raft and practice in-water survival techniques.

Course schedule

  • Liferaft and lifejacket practical pool session
  • SAR organisation and methods
  • Communications equipment (VHF, GMDSS, SATCOM)
  • Exams

At the end of the course, participants will complete an assessment paper, either in the Classroom, or on-line.

The course will be run by an Australian Sailing /ISAF accredited instructor.
